Lakeline
was designed for light marine applications and for use in water rescue
throw bags. It has a polyester sheath and polypropylene core. The
polyester adds strength and abrasion resistance and protects the core |
from harmful
UV rays, extending the life of the rope. We use polyester instead of
nylon since it maintains its strength when wet, while nylon gets weaker
by 10-15%. Yellow Lakeline is stronger and more durable than economy
|
polyprolylene water rescue ropes. Lakeline is bright for high
visibility. Not intended for rappelling
due to the low melting point of polypropylene. |
