Dear American Lifeguard Products,
As you are aware, the Covid-19 Pandemic has disrupted the supply chain, globally. We have seen increases in Sea Freight alone from $3000 for a 45ft high capacity container reached $30,000 for a standard 40ft, when our factories can find a container.
This disruption affected our Peruvian partners, the primary factory for our rescue equipment, more than most. Our last rescue equipment shipments, pre Covid arrived in May of 2020. We prebooked production orders in August 2020. Retooling for model improvements for 2021 began with expected production to begin again in Dec 2020 or Jan 2021. Covid-19 lockdowns brought that to an abrupt halt. Then supply of the production materials dried up.
Once shipments of materials into Peru resumed, prices had skyrocketed. Sea Freight into the factory of raw materials also increased. Shipping from Peru to the USA has increased as well.
During the lockdown time our design teams went over every board and sled design. Templates have been improved. Better hand grips on the sleds and more/better handles on the most rescue surfboards. Many of the improvements are not obvious such as stronger stringers, tougher skins and more durable rub rail protection.
As a result, after several years of no price increase while steadily making significant improvements, the costs of production and transport have pushed prices upward. This phenomenon is not limited to the water rescue segment of the economy, you can see it in fuel, groceries, just about everything.
Production of our Peruvian Rescue Equipment line is still limited and availability is low, while demand is backlogged. We are making every effort to meet backorders and increase supply.
Liquid Shredder will continue to product the most innovative, durable and cost effective water rescue sleds and boards in the market. As you are one a Primary Distributor of our Rescue Lines we will give your customers as much priority as possible.
Thank you for your many years of support.
Best Regards,
Scott McClain

Curbside Oversized Delivery is Different than Small Parcel like FedEx.
It is important to understand the difference.
1) For Residential Delivery the Carrier will contact you to set an agreeable Delivery Appointment at a mutually agreed time/date. Items cannot be dropped off without inspection and adult signature.
Business Address: Often its easier for you if we ship to a business address, please provide that address as “Ship To” at checkout.
2) Your Order will be delivered “CurbSide” or Delivery Loading Dock. The Carrier’s driver will meet you in front of your home or office and hand the box(es) down to you to open and inspect. At a business with a Loading Dock, they can deliver to the Loading Dock.
3) A responsible Adult must INSPECT the shipment for Damage or Shortage. Any damage or issues must be written, in detail, on both copies of the Delivery Document and then signed by the Carrier Representative (Driver). Once Damage is Noted you may Keep or Refuse the Shipment. Well documented minor damage will be covered by the Carrier and is generally reasonble. Keep your copy of all Carrier paperwork. Delivery Documents are your Contract between you and the Carrier acknowledging you are satisfied and releases the Carrier from damage or shortage liability. After signing there is no recourse without detailed claim exceptions written on the Delivery Receipt and signed by the Driver.
